Senior Chris here! Reading week is fast approaching and I am brushing up on my Spanish for a trip to Cancun. In between tropical day dreams, I’ve managed to get a few things done and am darn close to having a comprehensive list of builders around Edmonton. So much data and so little time has become my motto, but I got a welcome break from the research this week.

This break came in the form of an interesting opportunity to use a net application called Mailchimp. Not only was it a lot of fun, but it was great exposure to an awesome little piece of tech! Basically, mailchimp allows you to do mass email campaigns, customize the look and feel of the emails, tethers to social media and offers impressive analytics regarding opening rates and discards etc etc and even scans your bloody website to match colours and fonts! If you are not a marketing /IT/social media nerd then don’t feel bad about not sharing my enthusiasm, but I am all three and thought this was super neat. Yeah, I said neat. Although it wasn’t as user friendly as I think it could be, it’s the first web hosted service that I have seen for this purpose and has a lot of potential to make some very cool content.

While creating the mass email for our Danbury show home sale, I also got a better glimpse at what some of our homes have to offer. The floor planner got the en suite bathroom in the Danbury 100% correct. I have never understood why homes only have one sink, and a single tub or sometimes single shower. Even more puzzling is why they chose to include these single dealies in the en suite where it is almost guaranteed that two people will want to use it. I have shared a sink while brushing my teeth enough times to know that this singular bathroom set up is not cool, and is the leading cause of inadvertent head butts.
