News from TJ.....Keep reading to find out what TJ has been up to!

This week was exciting as we made progress in our show home project. Igloo Prebuilt Homes will be featuring a modular home assembled inside the Northlands Expo Center from March 20-25 for both the BuildEx show and the Edmonton Home and Garden Show. This is a very exciting project as interns, because it is the first project that we will see progress from start to finish. We have had the opportunity already to see the floor plans, and discuss unique features of the home, as well as become involved in the naming process.

On Wednesday we worked with G Squared Marketing to come up with our unique name for Igloo Prebuilt Home’s newest product offering. This is the home that will be featured in the previously mentioned expos. After the presentation of proposed names from G Squared, Richard asked me what I thought of the propositions before anyone else had their input. Being put on the spot was great as I was able to give my honest and non-bias view on the proposed name. I loved the opportunity and the feeling that my opinion and knowledge makes a difference!

Now you’re probably wondering what the name we picked was. During the BuildEx and Edmonton Home and Garden Show, Igloo Prebuilt Homes will present “Stasis Living” by Igloo Prebuilt Homes. This home will be approximately 1600 sqft and feature Igloo’s Stasis Technology, technologies focused around environmental building practices and features. This fully furnished home will be assembled onsite in less than 24 hours, including a fully furnished interior. Now that’s the easy part. For the Home and Garden Show the house will move, that’s right, move to another hall. We will be moving the home on skates for our second showing and first to the general public! This is something I cannot wait to see!
